SOCAN granted leave to appeal song-preview decision

The Supreme Court of Canada granted the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN) leave to appeal on Dec. 23 a May decision that said Canada’s fair dealing research provision covers song previews like those provided on online music services.
