Voice IQ Inc has appointed Don George as VP global business development and marketing. Formerly a global marketing executive in IBM’s personal systems group for the telecommunications sector, he also served as the project manager for deploying a wireless network in the Middle East. George has more than 37 years experience in the telecommunications industry which includes the building of the Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems Company in 1983. He served as its first VP and CFO.

COM DEV gets go ahead in RF gear contract in Europe
The European subsidiary of COM DEV International Ltd has received an Authority to Proceed (ATP) from a major European satellite prime contractor for advanced RF/electronic equipment. COM DEV will begin work on the contract that sits now at a maximum of $2.2 million, but is expected to be expanded to $14.2 million. This order builds on COM DEV Europe’s successful completion of a series of space contracts for major European and American satellite prime contractors.
