Yahoo Canada’s Munro joins Transgaming board

Transgaming Inc., a Toronto firm that develops tools for porting PC games to other platforms, has named Yahoo Canada Co. GM Kerry Munro to its board of directors. Munro will take the seat vacated by Jim Laird, VP of investments at Covington Capital, which was previously an investor in Transgaming. Laird had served on the board for five years.

Bell Fund boosts financing for new media, HD-friendly productions

But the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund is doling out the goodies to Canadian producers by making television programs shot in HD eligible for double the normal amount of TV grant money, and raising the cap on funding for new media projects by 100%.
