CRTC denies Bell request to vary directives for 911 VoIP service

All Canadian carriers that offer nomadic and voice-over Internet protocol (VoIP) services will have to contact customers each time they change their billing addresses to confirm their locations for emergency purposes, the CRTC said Tuesday.
