CCR Newsmakers

With this edition, Canadian Communications Reports begins anew. We've increased our publishing frequency, enhanced our look, and improved the editorial section. The closure of Evert Communications Ltd in January led to the suspension of this publication and its affiliated newsletters. Canadian Communications Reports, Network Letter, Canadian NEW MEDIA and Report on Wireless are looking forward to a promising future with their new owner, Decima Publishing Inc (formerly OSI Technology Publishing), and a subsidiary of OSI Group Inc. The other shareholders of Decima Publishing are Gerry Wall, president of Wall Communications Inc, and Debbie Lawes, managing editor and associate publisher of Decima Publishing. You will notice that we've made design changes to each of our newsletters, introducing a more standardized layout and publishing schedule. All of our newsletters will now be published 24 times a year, with online updates available on alternate weeks for our electronic subscribers. These updates will provide the latest information and insider news, with hot links to relevant and often hard-to-find documents. The past five years of Canadian Communications Reports and our other newsletters, are available on our Web site for our online readers. This space will feature our "NEWSMAKERS" column. Recognized authorities from business, government, media, academia and public interest organizations will be invited to submit opinion pieces that contribute to a dynamic discussion of current issues. This page will also feature interviews with leading professionals from the broadcasting and broadcast distribution sectors who are helping to shape this changing industry. Canadian Communications Reports also looks forward to working with its affiliate company, Decima Research Inc, on nationwide polls specifically tailored to the interests of our readers. The results of these polls will be published in our newsletters first, in advance of the mainstream media. Canadian Communications Reports is committed to providing the best coverage of Canada's broadcasting and broadcast distribution industries. We look forward to renewing our association with our previous subscribers and hope to establish connections with new readers.
