Randall Benson is the new senior VP and CFO of Call-Net Enterprises Inc. He worked for Parmalat Canada and Beatrice Foods before joining the Sprint parent last October.  BCE Inc has named Jean Monty as chair of the board in addition to his duties as CEO. He was previously president of the communications giant. Jonathan Klug is the new CFO of Bell Canada. He is currently VP partner channels and alliances for SBC Global Markets. SBC holds a minority stake in BCE. At Stream Intelligent Networks Corp, former New Brunswick premier Frank McKenna has been appointed chair of the board. Steve Spooner will continue as EVP and CFO as he takes up duties as acting president and CEO. Former chair, president and CEO Mark Etherington remains on the board of directors. Ravinder Singh has been named VP and GM for the video over telco/cable division of Leitch Technology Corp of Toronto. He formerly worked at the Bank of Montreal and at NBTel. BMO Nesbitt Burns has hired Robert Nolan Jr and Bruce Eatroff to build its media and telecommunications investment banking and merchant banking businesses. Both men have experience at UBS Securities and at Goldman Sachs. The new division has a fund of $667 million to invest in the sector. Michael Butcher has been appointed to the newly created position of president, international sales, Service Provider Networks at Lucent Technologies. Butcher will also continue as president/CEO of Lucent's Services Provider Networks in the Asia/Pacific region. WaveRider Communications has named three new VPs to its management team: Bruce Kay, VP customer service; Stephen Roche, VP finance; and James Chapman, VP strategic alliances.
