Major changes have occurred in the boardroom of AT&T Canada Inc. John McLennan, one-time president and CEO of Bell Canada, is the new vice chair and CEO. Jim Meenan is stepping down as CEO, but will remain as a director of the company. Craig Young remains as vice chair but is resigning as president. He will be replaced by Harry Truderung, who becomes president/COO. He previously worked at Telus. They're still playing musical chairs at Bell. Josée Goulet is now president of Bell ActiMedia. She was formerly president of Bell Distribution Inc. Randy Reynolds, the ex-president of Bell Ontario and president and CEO of Bell Mobility, has been named president of Bell Nexxia. His Bell Ontario position goes to Terry Mosey. He was most recently senior VP business sales and services at Bell Canada. Stu Verge is the new president global operations at Teleglobe. He used to be president and CEO of Bell Atlantic subsidiary Bell Atlantic Global Networks Inc. Lisa Donnan, formerly of Bell Nexxia and MCI, is Teleglobe's new chief marketing officer. Former Bell Nexxia president and CEO Marc Bouchard is now Teleglobe's president, North American markets and corporate development. Serge Fortin has left his job as president of Bell ActiMedia to become president global markets for Teleglobe. Mark Eckhout is the new CFO at the carrier. He is a veteran of Ameritech and Bell Mobility. Charles Rizzo is the new VP Canada for BT Americas, a division of British Telecommunications plc. He comes to this country from Japan, where he served as COO of Japan Telecom Communications Services and president of Japan Telecom Network Information Services, both joint efforts between BT and Japan Telecom. Tara Cox is now practicing information technology and communications law with Johnston & Buchan in Ottawa. Before being called to the bar, she worked at Newbridge Networks Corp and CrossKeys Systems Corp. Two new directors have been appointed to the board at No Time Wireless Corp. James Pitt is VP sales, cable carrier accounts at Group Telecom, while Vanessa Morgan is the director and vice chair of three investment funds. Telesystem International Wireless Inc has appointed Jean-Pierre de Montigny as EVP and CFO. The chartered financial analyst has over two decades experience in the securities industry. John Pittman is the new CEO of Princeton Lightwave of Princeton NJ. He was previously optoelectronics managing director at Nortel Networks Corp. Voice Mobility International Inc has named James Hewett as CFO. He formerly worked for Steels Industrial Products Ltd and Nice Systems Canada Ltd. At the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, Jacquelynn Ruff has been appointed associate division chief, telecommunications division, international bureau. IBM alumnus Stephen Parker is the new president and COO of Eftia OSS Solutions Inc. He replaces Al Somji who becomes chair and CEO. Richard Long, administrative VP of telecommunications with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union, has been appointed as a part time member of the Canada Industrial Relations Board. The former Bell worker joins lawyer Gina Fiorillo and Bernard Paquet of the Canadian Union of Public Employees as employee representatives. Air Canada's Wendy Dawes, lawyer Maureen Flynn and Dennis Sutton of Agricore have been named as employer representatives on the board.
