SaskTel given 18 months to fully prepare for return to federal telecom regulation

The CRTC has set the parameters that will permit prairie telco SaskTel to move from provincial jurisdiction to federal regulation. The provincially owned company, which has been regulated by its parent for the past seven years, will fall back under the CRTC's authority on June 30. But it will have 18 months to fully prepare for the transition to federal regulation.
