$5 million awarded for new media from TVO Lifelong Learning Challenge Fund

TVOntario’s Lifelong Learning Fund has awarded $5 million to eight distance learning projects in the last week, but officials at the public broadcaster say their role goes beyond that of investor. Blair Dimock, who has been the interim head of TVO’s new media division since it was formed a year ago, says the broadcaster will provide project management, instructional design or technology expertise to each of the Internet projects.
