Diane Beaudry was named president and CFO of Metaforia Entertainment Inc, a company that creates virtual worlds for the entertainment sector. The first Metaforia Center in North America opened in Montreal last December. John Fretz was named supervising producer of animation at Montreal-based Cinar Entertainment. Previously, he was production manager of English Production at the National Film Board, and has worked for more than 25 years as production manager and first assistant director on feature films and television series. Keith Neuman has joined Decima Research Inc as senior VP. In this position he assumes responsibility for managing the Ottawa office and building the company’s public affairs research practice. Neuman joins Decima with more than 13 years of senior research consulting experience with such companies as Environics, Corporate Research Associates and In-Touch Survey Systems. Salter Street Films has announced the appointment of Deborah Carver as the general manager and VP marketing for the Independent Film Channel Canada effective immediately. Carver was previously VP, communications with the company. Vancouver-based Protexis Inc, a content security company, has appointed David Dunnison as president and CEO. Dunnison was previously VP of business development at Icron Systems Inc, after serving as head of marketing at Ballard Power Systems. Destiny Media Technologies Inc, Vancouver, has announced six additions to its board of advisors. Kerry Williams was previously an executive VP at Corel Corp. Brian Cotta was founder and president of CallPro Canada Inc. Feisal Dedhar is a chartered accountant. Alf Sanderson has served as a private consultant. John Irish was recently a business consultant to Corel Corp and others. Matteo Bossio is president and CEO of Hall Train Entertainment Inc. The six join Roald Thomas and Yoshitaro Kumagai who have been on the board
