CRTC on track to receive federal spending top-up for another two years

The CRTC has two years left to deal with a raft of regulatory issues before its budget drops back to about 1997 levels. Part III estimates released late last month for all federal departments show the commission’s budget to remain stable at $8.4 million for this current fiscal, dropping slightly to $7.3 million next year, before falling to $4.6 million in 2003-04.
