Niv Fichman, founding partner of Toronto-based Rhombus Media; Denise Robert, president of Montreal-based Cinémaginaire Inc, and Tom Rowe, executive VP of creative affairs at Sextant Entertainment Group, were appointed joint chairs of the new Feature Film Advisory Group. Members of the group will be chosen from Canada’s producers, exhibitors, exhibitors, broadcasters, screenwriters, directors and performers. The group will advise Canadian Heritage Minister Sheila Copps on policy issues on film matters, including monitoring the Feature Film Fund announced last year, and investigating all matters referred to it by the ministry or Telefilm Canada.
