AT&T Canada appoints committee
AT&T Canada Inc. has appointed a special committee to look at financial and other issues facing the CLEC. The committee is made up of board chair Purdy Crawford, André Bureau, Steven Chisholm, Philip Ladouceur, and Craig Young. The move appears to be a response to a new ad hoc committee of investors that has expressed concerns about AT&T’s business operations and financial prospects. The committee of more than 20 investors holding nearly US$1 billion of the telco’s public notes has hired the New York law firm Bingham Dana LLP as legal counsel. More details:
