George Addy has joined Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP. Addy joins the firm as senior partner heading up its competition law and trade practices group. Recognized internationally and nationally in the competition field, he was head of the Competition Bureau from 1993 to 1996. Before taking over the top job at the bureau, Addy led the bureau’s mergers branch. Following his stint in the public service, he was executive VP and chief general counsel with Telus Corp.
