Digital TV subscriber growth lower in 2002 compared to 2001: Decima Publishing

The level of digital television subscriber growth was down sharply in 2002 compared to the previous year, but the number of Canadian households subscribing to digital TV service still increased by a healthy 21% or about 600,000 subscribers last year. The latest subscriber numbers are contained in the just-released latest installment of Decima Publishing Inc.’s quarterly digital TV market overview report series, entitled The Digital Domain: Tracking the Growth and Development of the Canadian Digital TV Distribution Market.
