Wireless directory assistance in the works by U.S. carriers
Some of the largest wireless operators in the United States have teamed up to develop a directory of wireless phone numbers. The Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association says that before the launch of such a service, safeguards would be put in place to ensure subscribers aren’t inundated with unwanted calls.
