Daniel Boismenu has left the Alliance numériQC. The former VP of communications is taking a new position with the City of Montreal’s finance department. AOL Canada has made several operational appointments. Steven Koles has been named general manager of the company’s Netscape Online unit. He has led the development and launch of that product for the last year. Alex Kroon has been appointed GM of the company’s high speed business unit. He previously served as VP operations. Kate Pearce has been appointed GM of AOL Canada’s narrowband business unit. She previously served the company as VP, marketing. Finally, Andrew Zimakas has been named GM of emerging markets. He was previously senior director of premium services. Paula Pettit has joined the Canadian Film and Television Production Association as its new national director of industrial relations. She joins the organization from the Writers Guild of Canada with which she has been since 1994. Montreal-based Nstein Technologies Inc. has named Denis Lavallée as VP of business development. He brings 18 years of experience, including at GRT Corp. where he worked also as VP of business development. Timothy Thorsteinson has been named president and CEO of Leitch Technology. He joins Leitch from Thomson Broadcast and Media Solutions, where he oversaw the broadcast product line. Wayne Sterloff, formerly VP of Specialty Networks at Craig Media, has returned to British Columbia and his consulting company, Wayne Sterloff and Associates.
