Producers associations take tentative steps toward national coalition around funding

Several prominent new media producers are taking cautious first steps towards national cooperation between the various organizations and groups that represent the sector. DECODE Entertainment’s Dan Fill and Collideascope Entertainment’s Steven Comeau, along with Michael Mcguigan at Breakthrough New Media have been approaching groups such as New Media BC and the New Media Business Alliance (NMBA) about taking common stands on the industry’s most pressing issues, and it’s hoped a conference call between the parties in the coming weeks will be a concrete first measure.
