Chalk Media has recently appointed Carrie Harrison to the position of director, sales and marketing, and Calvin Mah to chief financial officer. Peter Fuchs, previously a partner at Accenture, has been named to the board of directors of Blast Radius. Mediagrif has named its board of directors. Comprising this year’s board are: Léon Courville as lead director; Pierre Donaldson of Bioscrypt Inc. as executive chair; Denis Gadbois, CEO of the company, as chair; Robert Klatell; and, Tom Wolf, senior VP of ebusiness and RBC Global Services, RBC Financial Group. Pierre Duval and Peter Bohn will step down from the board. Barry Chambers has been named president of Vancouver-based Rainmaker Entertainment Group Ltd. He has been with Rainmaker for 24 years, during 15 of which he has served as its general manager. Kangaroo Capital has tapped Pierre Boivin, the president of Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club and of the Bell Centre, as director and chairman of the board. At the same time, the company announces Raynald Brière, president and COO of Radio Nord Communication and Jean-Denis Talon, chair of the board of AXA Canada, as nominees for election to the Kangaroo board. Margarita Ramon has been appointed as the Yukon Film and Sound commissioner. Liz Janzen has joined the National Screen Institute (NSI) as director of programming. She will oversee the delivery of all NSI film and TV training programs and the NSI FilmExchange Canadian Film Festival. She was most recently the development manager of western independent production for CTV. Glen Shipp recently returned as CFO and VP of finance at BBM Canada and ComQUEST Research. He worked as CFO for BBM Canada and ComQUEST from 1993 to 2001, and then became VP of finance and CFO for the Victorian Order of Nurses. Dermot Murphy has also joined BBM/ComQUEST as controller. As well, Judy Cane returns to BBM as radio account executive. She replaces Pam Buckley.
