Motion simulator manufacturer D-Box Technologies Inc. of Longueuil QC has named Jean-Pierre De Montigny to the position of chairman of the board. In addition to the new role at D-Box, De Montigny is also vice-chairman of the board at Toronto’s Blackmont Capital, an investment dealer and capital markets firm. As well, he was president of Desjardins Securities from 2001 to 2005 and executive VP and CFO at Telesystem International Wireless from 2000 to 2001. He has 25 years’ worth of experience in the finance sector, and holds an MBA from McGill University in addition to several professional designations.
De Montigny will replace outgoing board chairman Andre Duquenne. D-Box president and CEO Claude Mc Master, who also takes a seat on the board, said of De Montigny: "He is a visionary, and contributed greatly to the strategic repositioning of the business. We are proud that the board will still be able to draw on his expertise and knowledge."
