Smart antenna developer TenXc Wireless continues to strengthen its management team. The Ottawa-based company has appointed Al Javed as CTO and John Litva as chief scientist.  Javed brings more than 30 years experience to the company, most notably his tenure at Nortel Networks Corp. where he pioneered development and integration of a number of technologies, helping to lay the foundation for Nortel’s wireless access portfolio. More recently, he was VP of wireless networks technology with responsibility for developing Nortel’s next-generation broadband technologies and product concepts, including MIMO and antenna array processing, mesh networking and WiMAX.  Litva, a co-founder of the company, has extensive knowledge and experience in wireless RF communications research and this will be crucial to TenXc’s strategic direction. He is a former director of the communications research laboratory at McMaster University.  Internet provider and cable television company Look Communications Inc. has appointed Paul Katz as CFO, replacing René Vocelle effective May 9. Vocelle is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Katz has considerable experience in financial services having "previously held senior financial positions in various industries such as food processing, automotive and technology," Look vice-chair and CEO Gerry McGoey said in a news release. Infowave Software Inc. has appointed Wayne Henderson chair of the company’s finance committee, which has the responsibility of reviewing, monitoring and advising the board of directors on financial matters affecting the Vancouver-based firm.  The City of Calgary’s Wireless City initiative is looking for a new marketing manager with responsibilities for communicating "Alberta’s wireless industry success to global markets to help make Alberta a world-recognized location for technology excellence."  Deadline to send in your resume is Friday, May 19, 2006.
