Johnston & Buchan LLP has announced that Jay Kerr-Wilson has become a partner of the firm. Kerr-Wilson was formerly VP of legal affairs at the now-defunct Canadian Cable Telecommunications Association (CCTA) where he was primarily responsible for acting on behalf of the Canadian cable industry in copyright, internet and broadcasting matters. Kerr-Wilson will practice primarily in the areas of communications and public law, with a particular emphasis on copyright.
