XM, Suzuki announce partnership
Satellite radio provider XM Canada has signed a multi-year exclusive partnership with Suzuki Canada. Under the agreement XM satellite radios will be factory- or dealer-installed in thousands of Suzuki vehicles beginning with 2007 models. The Suzuki XL-7 JLX will come with XM satellite radio as a standard option, while the Grand Vitara and SX4 will be offered with XM as a dealer-installed option. "Suzuki drivers have always had a keen sense of exploration and discovery and a certain way of life, and now XM will take that desire to explore to a higher level," said Mike Kurnic, Suzuki’s national manager corporate communications, in a news release. XM Canada will offer Suzuki owners free activation and a three-month complimentary subscription, and the satellite radio will eventually be offered in the majority of Suzuki Canada’s vehicles.
