Intrinsyc Software International Inc. has appointed Glenda Dorchak as its new CEO and will take a seat on the board of directors, succeeding Derek Spratt. She comes to Intrinsyc from Intel Corp. and has 30 years experience in the technology industry. Dorchak began her career at IBM Canada and spent more than 20 years with the firm in Canada and the United States. She held a number of positions, including director of marketing, personal systems group for North America. Dorchak joined Intel in 2001 as VP and COO of Intel Communications Group and later served as VP and GM for a variety of Intel divisions, including the consumer electronics group. Spratt, who founded Intrinsyc in 1996, rejoined the company in 2003 as CEO charged with developing and implementing a succession plan. George Reznik has been appointed CFO for Digital Dispatch Systems Inc. Most recently, he served as CFO and COO of Infowave Software Inc. where he helped orchestrate a turnaround for the Vancouver software provider August. Prior to working at Infowave, Reznik served as VP of finance for Pivotal Corp. where he led the company through an IPO on the Nasdaq and Toronto stock exchanges. Reznik previously held management positions within Deloitte and Touche’s corporate finance office in Canada as well as the United Kingdom. Infowave Software Inc. has announced that Richard Hoy has joined the company as VP of sales. He has more than 25 years experience in sales, marketing, channel management and organization development. He previously held sales positions at Telus Communications, Xerox, Cable and Wireless Communications and Apparent Networks. Voice Mobility International Inc. has appointed Gerry Butters to its board of directors. He is a communications industry veteran with 40 years experience at a number of major communications firms, including Nortel Networks Corp. and Lucent Technologies. Tom McLeod has been named regional GM for Honeywell Process Solutions Canada with the responsibility for sales, services and project execution for the provider of automation and control solutions. Fred Gore joined MobileLime in an advisory capacity. He has 25-years experience in the financial services industry and is best known as senior VP and group head, North America Acceptance for MasterCard International. MobileLime turns the cell phone into a loyalty and payment device.
