Virgin Mobile taking full advantage of pre-paid renaissance

The recent assertion from Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Mobile Canada, that it had 250,000 subscribers demonstrates the country’s pre-paid wireless market is picking up steam again. In fact, pre-paid is showing signs of a renaissance not seen since 2001 (see chart below).
