Pitch perfect at upcoming Mobile Monday in TO
Brief | January 24, 2007
Mobile Monday, an open community of Toronto-based professionals working in the mobile communications industry, is turning the mic over to three hopefuls seeking capital at its next monthly event. On February 5, the trio will pitch their ideas for making money in mobility to a panel of venture capital luminaries including Wise Mentor Capital’s Sean Wise, Brightspark CFO Steven Bloom, and Ted Anderson, managing general partner at Ventures West. "With WiMax, the iPhone and mobile VoIP all coming in 2007, mobile will be Web 3.0," said Wise in a media release. Meanwhile, the co-founders and organizers of Mobile Monday, Jim Brown and Alex Bosika, had this to say: "Canada is a fertile ground for new, innovative ideas in mobile….Providing this opportunity for three entrepreneurs is what Mobile Monday is all about." If you’re interested in making a pitch, you have until January 31 to sign up at www.mobilemondaytoronto.com.
