Enablence Technologies Inc., an Ottawa-based developer of fibre-to-the-home transceivers for optical modems, has announced changes to its board of directors: founder and president of Cistel Technology Nishith Goel has been appointed to the board. Goel is also cofounder of CHiL Semiconductor and was cofounder of Ipine Networks as well. Stephan Guerin, former Alcatel Alsthom executive committee member and VP of mergers and acquisitions, has joined the Enablence board as well. Guerin was also the senior executive VP with global satellite communication start-up ICO, and is currently the international partner of Schwarz-Schilling and Partners, the managing director of Onslow Group and one of the founders and directors of Catrifarma Limitada. Enablence also announced that Alex Blodgett has stepped down from his board position to make room for the addition of Guerin.
