Cisco Fixes Bugs, Unveils Wireless Security
Brief | March 1, 2007
Cisco Systems Inc. released three patches in January for its IOS operating system. One addresses a "crafted IP option vulnerability" wherein specially designed data packets could cause a denial-of-service failure in routers and switches. Another concerns the TCP listener, which is vulnerable to a remotely exploitable memory leak that could lead to denial of service. The third addresses specially designed IPv6 headers that could cause routers and switches to crash. For more details visit www.cisco.com.
