AmikaNow to make mobile messaging easier

Briefs | 03/12/2007 4:00 am EDT

Automatic mobile email analysis pioneer AmikaNow launched its own mobile service, Amika Mobile, on March 6. The service, which is currently in customer trials, will focus on new products that address the need for smarter, simpler mobile messaging. "Users on the go do not want to receive the 200 emails in their desktop inbox on their mobile phone. However, they would love to receive the one or two critical messages they need," said Amika Mobile CEO Sue Abu-Hakima. "Today mobile phone users cannot effectively do this and many simply opt out of getting email altogether." According to the Radicati Group, the demand for mobile messaging is growing at 103% annually.
