New head of CBC Sports team announced

Scott Moore has been appointed executive director of CBC Sports. Moore most recently owned Top Notch Studios, a Vancouver-based independent production company that was involved in the Athens and Torino Olympic Games, Melbourne Commonwealth Games, Grand Prix of Edmonton, Asian Games and other projects. Prior to that he was VP or production and operations for Rogers Sportsnet and was responsible for launching the all-sports specialty channel. "As a Gemini and Emmy award-winning producer with an international reputation for innovative sports production, Scott has a wealth of knowledge and experience which will provide a tremendous benefit to the CBC," said CBC’s executive VP Richard Stursberg in a news release.
