XM takes wing with Air Canada
Brief | March 16, 2007
Air Canada has tapped satellite radio provider XM Canada to provide entertainment both in-flight and in the airline’s exclusive Maple Leaf Lounges. The deal will see English-language and French-language services featured on both the legacy in-flight entertainment system and the new touch-screen one that Air Canada is phasing in. XM Canada will also be given opportunities to promote its service throughout the Air Canada system. "We believe XM Canada’s best-in-class programming and unique Canadian content is the right fit for our passengers," said the airline’s executive VP and chief commercial officer, Sean Menke, in a media release.
