Avaya releases new platform version, Deskphones

Brief | March 19, 2007

Avaya Inc. recently announced a plan to make improvements to its IP telephony portfolio, including a new version of its platform and a line of next-generation Avaya one-X Deskphones. The US-based provider of business communications applications, services and systems hopes the new Avaya Communication Manager 4.0 software and Avaya G860 Media Gateways provide increased capacity and enhanced mobility. "It is becoming crystal clear that communications network vendors like Avaya that deliver corporate strategic enablement platforms as well as tactical economic and business needs are well-positioned to enable enterprises to move into the next stage of application-oriented IP telephony," said Frank Dzubeck, president of Communications Network Architects Inc.
