McAfee names new CEO

Dave DeWalt has been named by McAfee Inc. as its new CEO and president, bringing his wealth of management experience to the security technology company. He was most recently executive VP and president of customer operations for EMC Corp., and was previously the president of EMC Software Group. Under DeWalt’s leadership, EMC grew to one of the 10 largest software businesses in the world. He also held leadership positions at Oracle Corp., Quest Software, Eventus Software and Segue Software – amounting to more than 20 years in the technology industry.
