Briefs | 03/19/2007 4:00 am EDT

Nortel Networks Corp. recently signed a global reseller and joint marketing agreement with NDS, a supplier of digital technology and services to pay-TV operators and providers, for a European IPTV project. It will involve the integration of Nortel’s voice and multimedia features into NDS’ MediaHighway middleware, thus encouraging the convergence of entertainment and communications. With this project, the companies hope to create one of the most advanced and feature-rich middleware products in the television distribution industry.
