Graduate students to see scholarship boosts from TRLabs
Brief | April 4, 2007
TRLabs, an information and communications technology research and development consortium with five labs in the Prairies, has announced a 50% increase in student scholarship values, which will take effect on Sept. 1, 2007. This will help the group and its member universities attract top graduate students. "Student quality drives the quality of invention and commercialization potential," said TRLabs president and CEO Roger Pederson. The value of scholarships will remain at $12,000 for the first year of a graduate program, but will double to $24,000 per annum for years two through four of a PhD program and the second year of a Master's program. The labs' research themes focus on telecom, eHealth and eHome industries.
