The FITC Design & Technology Festival, a three-day gathering of designers and developers from the new media industry including web, mobile, games, motion graphics and art installations, is set to invade the Toronto Hilton hotel from April 22-24. "It's an amazing experience when you bring the brightest technical and creative people around the world together to share solutions and generate new ideas that propel the industry into 2008," said FITC founding director Shawn Pucknell. Speakers for the event will include John Maeda, a graphic designer, visual artist and MIT Media Lab computer scientist, as well as Greg Goodfried and Miles Beckett, the creators of the web diary LonelyGirl15.
