Acer Canada achieves record growth in two shipping markets

Acer America Corp. has announced that, during Q4 2006, Acer Canada took top spot in the number of both notebook PCs and LCD monitors shipments, according to Partner Research Canada. This positions Acer as the third largest PC brand in the country. In Q4, the company shipped 119,192 units – a growth of 73% year-on-year. "In my view, Acer's great accomplishment was not so much in capturing the top spot in the notebook market, as it was expanding the notebook market," said Albert Daoust, a senior analyst at Partner Research Canada.
