Briefs | 04/17/2007 11:50 am EDT

Sierra Wireless announced on April 16 that its MP 595 GPS and MP 875 GPS rugged wireless modems are now available. The devices, which offer more bandwidth than previous models, are designed for the public safety, field service and transportation industries. "We believe the enhanced capabilities of the new MP 595 and 875 modems will enable our customers to expand the information they can collect and provide better security for vehicle operators, while still delivering the reliable, high-quality performance they can trust," Sierra Wireless' senior VP of worldwide sales Dan Schieler said in a news release.
