Montreal-based Mobivox Corp. has unveiled the beta version of its hosted mobile-Skype service, which brings the popular P2P VoIP program to any wireless device. According to a press release, "Skype on the Go" requires no program-download to the handset, and it provides free global calls between Mobivox users. Industry analysts have said VoIP's traversal into the mobile space could hurt wireless service provider revenues – particularly revenues from traditional voice-call packages.
