Cisco releases hosted communication platform – SaskTel first to sell
Brief | June 7, 2007
Cisco Systems Inc. has announced the general availability of its Linksys One hosted voice-data system through service-provider partners. Designed for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), the offering combines security, configuration-backup and additional applications into VoIP and data for ease of use, according to a Cisco press release. In a separate statement, Saskatchewan telco SaskTel said it's using the product to support the Small Business Complete service – key system functionality rented to companies in Alberta and BC, where the incumbent aims to grow. SaskTel is the first North American and second global provider to offer Linksys One on a hosted basis.
