Nokia Siemens appoints Canadian leader

Nokia Siemens Networks has appointed Mark VanderHeyden as head of the Canadian region. Formerly the CEO of stand-alone Siemens Networks Inc. in this country, he has more than 20 years of telecom experience, including global sales, support, marketing, business development and manufacturing. He has held senior management positions with broadband equipment provider Zhone Technologies Inc., and Nortel Networks in Atlanta GA, the UK and Canada. Wireless network equipment maker Nokia Corp. and communications gear manufacturer Siemens AG merged their phone-network businesses last year.
