Hbc inks deal to accept MasterCard chip cards

Hudson's Bay Company (Hbc) is the latest retailer to catch onto the chip card faze from MasterCard. A trial, announced July 12, will allow Hbc customers to pay for their purchases using their chip-enabled MasterCards in the Kitchener-Waterloo area beginning in early 2008. Hbc customers will also be able to make purchases at Zellers, Designer Depot, Home Outfitters and Fields retail stores.
