People | 09/20/2007 12:31 pm EDT

Nortel Networks Corp. has appointed Joel Hackney as president of the company's enterprise solutions division. Hackney, who replaces Steve Slattery, was previously senior VP of global operations and quality. Hackney will take charge of a unit that is showing signs of improving.
