New Media BC has announced that Kenton Low will succeed Lynda Brown, who is returning to the private sector, as president of the industry association. Low's new media background includes leadership roles with Disney Interactive, Disney's Internet Group, Universal Studios Online and Vivendi Universal's portfolio of new media companies. Low was also most recently president and CEO for Robeez Footwear, where he assisted the founders in selling the company to US footwear company Stride Rite. "Throughout my career, I have been fascinated by the power of digital technology and have greatly enjoyed working directly in new media organizations or driving digital initiatives in other companies," said Low in a news release. "With British Columbia's growth as a global leader in digital media, the timing seems ideal to step into a new media organization of this caliber. I find this absolutely exciting and welcome this opportunity to service an industry that has afforded me so much."
