New CBC board member appointed

Rémi Racine has been named to the board of directors of the CBC. Racine is presently the president, CEO and executive director of 3-D interactive videogame firm Artificial Mind and Movement. From 1996 to 1999 he was CEO and executive producer of Behaviour Interactive, and served as VP of finance and developemtn of MMI MultiMedia Interactif from 1994 to 1995. Between 1987 and 1992 he was involved in real estate management and investment for several companies. Racine is also involved with many organizations, including the Academy of Interactive Arts and Science, Alliance NumériQC, of which he is president, and the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montréal. "Mr. Racine's credentials will make him an excellent member of the Board of Directors of the CBC," said Minister of Canadian Heritage Josée Verner. "I am confident that his experience will greatly benefit the CBC."
