Bell releases groundbreaking HD PVR

Briefs | 10/30/2007 7:34 pm EDT

Bell Canada has announced the launch of its most advanced high-definition television satellite receiver, 9242 HD PVR Plus. The new receiver and personal video recorder is capable of recording up to 200 hours of standard-definition programming and up to 30 hours of HD content, the most of any HD provider in Canada. The 9242 also features the unique ability to view and record independent programming on two televisions in two different rooms of a home, all from one receiver. And it enables viewers to pause a live show on one television and resume watching on a separate TV. Bell is selling the set-top box for $599 and renting it for $20 per month.
