Brief | October 30, 2007
The Canadian Television Fund has congratulated the winners of the 22nd annual Gemini Awards, including 41 wins for the creators, casts and crews of CTF-funded shows. Overall, shows that received CTF funding were nominated 182 times. "We're proud to sponsor the Gemini Awards and join the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television in recognizing the extraordinary talent that makes up our television industry," said CTF president Valerie Creighton in a news release. "CTF-funded shows, such as Slings and Arrows, Degrassi: The Next Generation, and the Canada Award-winning Little Mosque on the Prairie, as well as outstanding documentaries like the Donald Brittain Award-winning Fatherland, are just some examples of critically acclaimed programming embraced by Canadian audiences. We congratulate them on their success."
