Rogers sells two OMNI stations to S-VOX

Rogers Media Inc. and S-VOX announced yesterday that they have entered into an agreement under which S-VOX Trust will purchase all of the assets of the CHNU-TV Vancouver and CIIT-TV Winnipeg, which have been operating under the trademarks OMNI 10 and OMNI 11, respectively, since 2005. "This is a momentous event in our 20-year history as a Canadian independent broadcaster," said Bill Roberts, president and CEO of S-VOX. "The addition of these two broadcasting assets will strengthen our existing businesses and solidify S-VOX's position as an industry leader in the spirituality, faith and wellness genre." The transaction subject CRTC approval and is expected to close in 2008.
