Canada New Media Fund removes 2007-2008 closing dates

Briefs | 11/19/2007 1:11 pm EST

Telefilm Canada has removed the final two 2007-2008 fiscal year closing dates for both production/marketing and development financing for the product assistance component of the Canadian New Media Fund. The CNMF's fiscal year ends March 31, 2008. Telefilm has determined that it will be able to review and contract submissions on an ongoing basis, and is encouraging applicants who missed the October 31 production and marketing financing closing date to submit their applications as soon as they are ready. This is the first time Telefilm is allowing an ongoing submission of applications; previously applicants had to apply by no later than the former closing dates.
The Product Assistance component of the Canada New Media Fund provides conditionally repayable advances for the development, production and marketing of Canadian interactive digital cultural content products in both official languages that are intended for the general public.
