TiVo coming to Canada for holidays

TiVo Inc., the creator of the popular American digital video recorder, announced today that TiVo DVRs will be available in Canada in time for the holidays. "We've received overwhelming demand from Canadian consumers who want access to TiVo's innovative products and services and we are extremely excited to be able to deliver our highly-successful TiVo Series2 Dual Tuner DVR to this key strategic marketplace — just in time for the holidays," said Joshua Danovitz, VP and GM of international at TiVo, in a news release. "TiVo's move into Canada represents a natural, important progression for our business as we continue to make sustained progress across international markets." The TiVo Series2 DT DVR will be available in early December at major Canadian retailers including Best Buy, The Brick, London Drug and Future Shop for a suggested retail price of $199 plus standard TiVo subscription fees.
